The Sunday Post ~ 24: Returning Edition

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer - It's a chance to share news - A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
     Hiya everyone!
I figured it was about time that I slowly begin to slip back into meme mode, starting with The Sunday Post. It's been, what? 3-5 months since the last Sunday Post back in April or May?
I'll admit that's quite a long time. But I did have my reasons (no matter how small...) as to why I took a huge meme break:
  1. I'm still alive, in case you're wondering. I just had less time for memes. When you're stuck with only about 2 hours a week of internet at the library, the other stuff kind of take priority over memes. Unless I want to be deemed untrustworthy for being unable to email a tour coordinator at the last minute (hey, I don't live five minutes of walking time away from the library).
  2. Blog Post Schedule. I originally planned to come back last month. Unfortunately, my schedule was packed.
  3. The Obvious: school. Hooray. Go homework, schoolwork, and tests. And speaking of tests... *facepalm* I might have to slip away for about a month two soon. *sigh...*
So what's new? Naturally, I wouldn't have that much new within the last few months, aside from a few:
  • I officially have one year less of school. In other words, I'm running out of time... to choose career options. And college options. I'm beginning to think time is working against me. Not cool. Let's zoom back 5 years, shall we? :p x3
  • I'm also officially a year older as of several months ago. Hooray. But I still feel the same age as just one year ago. Maybe a bit more mature. And one grade level higher.
  • I guess you can say I holed up in my nice cool home throughout the summer. Let me say it was dreadfully boring. Therefore, I ended up writing a book. In first draft. And it's not getting published any time soon, nor ever getting published. It was just a way to cure my boredom, which was actually not a bad one.
  • Don't count on me joining NanoWriMo either. I'll probably write gibberish by then. Unless it's a journal of my life, in which I am not EVER doing. That will be reserved for home computer. Secured. Password protected. The end.
  • I'm making a habit of review lists lately. In other words, book reviews in lists format with a few paragraphs here and there (you know... introduction and overall/conclusion that wraps everything up in a nice bow?). Is that bad? O_o
  • Summer Reading Challenge. I don't think I managed to clean my library that much, but a little is better than nothing. That will be back... next May-ish.
  • Speaking of libraries, my ebooks library is still growing. If it were real, I would have a blockade in my room and I would be stuck in the same room always. Not exactly pleasant. I think I should thank technology these days.
So, how are you guys? I don't think I missed much, except Divergent, The Fault in Our Stars (there's a review posted not so long ago!), and Vampire Academy movies. Along with many others, but if I list them all, this post would be even longer.
I guess that wraps everything up in a nutshell. Allegiant comes out... in about a week. Who's excited?! :3
What's new for you guys? There's no book haul or posts this week in this edition because it's already long enough as it is, lol.

~Happy Sunday!

  1. i'm excited for the TFIOS movie most of all. john green keeps tweeting pics, doing videos, tweeting, etc. about it and it's making me more excited.

hope you can stop by my StS/Sunday Post.

    -michelle @ Michelle & Leslie's Book Picks

    1. I'm not too crazy about TFIOS movie, but I'm definitely crazy about Divergent. Maybe it's because I prefer Divergent better??? O_o
I guess that's personal preference, lol.

  2. Welcome back! I understand completely about the library, it is a pain to do posts there. I am excited for Allegiant too!

Jenea @ Books Live Forever's Sunday Post

    1. Thanks! It's definitely a pain when I can't mark, lol. I'll just get in trouble by the school... and my mother! e_e

  3. I just came back to the sunday post last month myself. I slipped away for a while too. Life sometimes catches up with us.

    Welcome back :)

    Michelle @ Book Briefs

    My Sunday Post

    1. Yep, life definitely does, even if we don't really want it to, lol.

  4. Welcome back and well done on the writing :0)

    Have a great week!

    Lauren @ The Hottie Harem

    1. Thanks! Hope you have a great week too! :)

  5. Welcome back to the Sunday Post. :) I'm thankful for technology, too. I only have X amount of space left for actual books.

    1. Ah, I get the feeling! I only own 2 physical books, but horrors on my imagination for imagining who knows how many ebooks I have.

  6. Hi, Sophia! I saw your blog name on Kimba's Sunday Post list and had to check it out. (If you look at my name, you'll see why!)

Don't feel badly about pulling back during school or for any other reason. Blogging is meant to be fun, and most of us have limited time for it.

Speaking of which, I probably need to get back to work. (Ah, the joys of self-employment -- working on weekends!) But I'm glad to have 'met' you, and I wish you luck with school, career and college thinking, and of course your blog!

    1. Hi Lark!
Wow! We must have twin blogging names, lol! Ah, I'm definitely not pulling back from school. I think I'm going to enjoy my time balancing everything I can for now before I can't.
Nice to meet you too! :D

  7. speaking of schoolwork and tests, you WERE complaining about several tests on a friday...

    1. Having 3 tests in one day is never what I have in mind... though it wasn't too terrible. :p

    2. at least that's the nice side :)

    3. Thanfully it is. Though if I get 7 tests one day, I'll be taking that back. O_o
