Fangirl "Friday:" Sophia Takes Over with the Immortal Descendants and The Raven King

Fangirl Friday
Hello, and happy Thursday! Normally Fangirl Friday would be on a Friday (but of course), but Lupe and I decided to give you an early edition this week on a Thursday! (Mainly because The Fading Dusk is stopping by tomorrow for the blog tour. Stop on by - there's a giveaway!)

We also decided to make Lupe do her project for school (okay, I decided that. It was unanimous agreement between us).

Here's to this week's news (yes, I do it in an entirely different style than Lupe's)!

Bookwyrming Thoughts is THREE! Instead of a rafflecopter, there's a Twitter giveaway, and it's international!
Tonya Kuper announces Enigma, the sequel to Anomaly, will publish Fall 2016! That is way too long, Tonya, but the wait is worth it (it better be)!

Amazon announces they are opening a bookstore in Seattle. A legit brick and mortar bookstore! I'll be dancing off the charts when they open one in St. Louis.

Fierce Reads reveals the cover to The Inquisition, the sequel to The Novice by Taran Matharu. I haven't read The Novice (I DID see it at the library, I just CHOSE not to get it), but I adore the covers. Also, they match. Now if only the covers don't change in the middle of the series...

More demons, epic battles, and fights to the death: introducing the unmissable next installment in the Summoner Trilogy...

On trial for a crime he did not commit, Fletcher must face the Inquisition who will decide his future - the process is gruelling, lead by those who will do anything to see him suffer and haunted by ghosts from the past with clues to Fletcher's tragic origins.

But Fletcher has little time to dwell on these new revelations when the king announces a deadly challenge to the graduating students at Vocans. One that involves entering Orc territory to complete a risky mission. With loyal demons by their sides, commoners and nobles, dwarves and elves must overcome barriers of class and race and work together to triumph. The reward: a fortune in gold, the safety of an empire and PEACE.

With the entire empire watching, Fletcher has much to prove, but there are those out to get him and it soon becomes clear that there's a traitor in their midst, trying to thwart the mission and create unrest within the Empire.

With everything stacked against him, Fletcher must use everything in his power to fight his way to victory.

Entertainment Weekly announces The Mara Dyer trilogy will be getting a spin-off, called The Shaw Confessions. Sophia only read the first book when it came out and forgot about it completely. Whoops.

Sourcebooks Fire reveals the cover to Jeff Strand's newest book, The Greatest Zombie Movie Ever, publishing March 1, 2016. Enter to win an ARC copy HERE.
The Greatest Zombie Movie Ever is so bad, it could wake the dead…

After producing three horror films that went mostly ignored on YouTube, Justin and his filmmaking buddies decide it's time to make something epic. In fact, they're going to make The Greatest Zombie Movie Ever. They may not have money or a script, but they have passion. And, after a rash text message, they also have the beautiful Alicia Howtz as the lead.

Hemmed in by a one-month timeline and a cast of uncooperative extras, but aching to fulfill Alicia's dreams, Justin must face the sad, sad truth: he may, in actuality, be producing The Worst Zombie Movie Ever

Maggie Stiefvater reveals the cover to the final Raven Cycle book, The Raven King. The final book in The Raven Cycle comes out April 26, 2016. Absolutely gorgeous. Or maybe it's the fact it's blue.
The Raven King Maggie Stiefvater

The fourth and final installment in the spellbinding series from the irrepressible, #1 New York Times bestselling author Maggie Stiefvater.

All her life, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love's death. She doesn't believe in true love and never thought this would be a problem, but as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she's not so sure anymore.

In a starred review for Blue Lily, Lily Blue, Kirkus Reviews declared: "Expect this truly one-of-a-kind series to come to a thundering close."

April White's Immortal Descendants series gets a makeover! Plus, it's three years old, about as old as Bookwyrming Thoughts (that is totally a big deal)! April White is also giving a chance to win signed paperback copies of the three books in the Immortal Descendants series, among other awesome things! Enter HERE.
