The Covers of 2015: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Hiya everyone!

Shocking how it's now December, isn't it (and in just a few months Sophia and Lupe go on completely different paths aside from the occasional bumping in to each other and yapping online)?

Anyways...

The three of us have teamed up yet again to bring to you our favorite and not-so-favorite reads, covers, characters, and whatnot throughout the year!

Our Picks!

21 Stolen Kisses by Lauren Blakely

Ella's Verdict: Dislike

Urgh, I just hate everything about this cover! I hate close ups of faces on covers and I loathe close ups of lips even more! Such a pity, as I like the title font but everything else is a big fat NO.

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

Lupe's Verdict: Favorite

She has a thing for red covers and awesome backgrounds. And well... red.

The Ruby Circle by Richelle Mead

Sophia's Verdict: Faker and faker

It's gotten to the point where I can tell a girl and boy got a new angle and slapped on the cover. Also, Lupe agrees. And she worships Richelle Mead. o_O

Ash and Bramble by Sarah Prineas

Ella's Verdict: Dislike

I actually love the font on this one but the IMAGERY. *howls* It looks like a three year old climbed into Photoshop and proceeded to make what is now the actual cover! The images are so awkwardly placed and it JUST LOOKS REALLY WEIRD. AND IT ANNOYS ME VERY MUCH SO. *fumes*

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

Lupe's Verdict: Favorite

Once again, the thing for red. Much like Sophia's thing for Blue. Lupe can't help herself.

Light Spark: Love's Divide by Gabriel Requadt

Sophia's Verdict: Sigh of Relief

Okay, okay! I know the artwork is completely amateur, but after seeing so many people on covers, seeing artwork is a complete relief. Artwork is different. The same people are appearing from cover to cover to cover, and it typically goes bad... really bad.

Let's Discuss! What are some of your favorite covers this year? Any covers you didn't like?
