Fangirl Friday (Early Edition): Star Wars and Shadowhunters Premiere!

Hello!

I hope you had a happy new year! Now let's back on track!

Today on the early edition of Fangirl Friday (More like Fangirl Thursday), we will be discussing about the awesomeness of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the premiere of the show Shadowhunters!
Star Wars was such a good movie and it's doing very well globally! I mean it is the third bestselling movie of all time worldwide, just behind Titanic and, of course, Avatar. The movie still has the potential to beat these movies considering the amount of advertising they spent on this movie before it was released in theaters. I can bet that you have at least seen the Star Wars movie trailer more than a couple hundred times.

Although, if you still haven't seen it yet.... WHAT ARE YOU DOING? GO AND WATCH WHAT EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT BEFORE YOU HEAR THE SPOILER! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

Anyway....
On January 12th of this year, ABC Family officially changed their name to Freeform and premiered the new TV Show, Shadowhunters. Not going to lie but I was still doing homework during this time but took a break to watch the premiere. Who wouldn't? You know, #Priorties.

Honestly, the whole episode felt sort of rushed to me and was thrown with so much information. Keep in mind, I have only read the first book so I do have an idea of what this world is all about. I watched it with a different mindset, as I normally do when watching a book to movie adaption. It was a good first episode. It wasn't like those boring TV episodes where they begin slow and everything.

I do believe this show has potential and, not going to lie, I still have to get used to the actors since they are very different from the movie. It won't take me long to get used to it. After I watch a couple more episodes, I will be fine and hopefully see some improvement in the acting. There were some parts that were too eh.

I still have high hopes for this show and I will make sure to read the rest of the books in the trilogy (I am not going to read the other 3) so I have a better understanding of the series! Make sure you go and watch it on Freeform every Tuesday at 8pm CST!
