ARC Review: Bookishly Ever After by Isabel Bandeira (HELLO MOST ADORBS NOVEL EVER)

Bookishly Ever After

Publication Date: January 12th 2016
Publisher: Spencer Hill Contemporary

In a perfect world, sixteen-year-old Phoebe Martins’ life would be a book. Preferably a YA novel with magic and a hot paranormal love interest. Unfortunately, her life probably wouldn’t even qualify for a quiet contemporary.
But when Phoebe finds out that Dev, the hottest guy in the clarinet section, might actually have a crush on her, she turns to her favorite books for advice. Phoebe overhauls her personality to become as awesome as her favorite heroines and win Dev’s heart.
But if her plan fails, can she go back to her happy world of fictional boys after falling for the real thing?
A review copy was provided by the Publisher via Netgalley - thanks!

Dear Bookishly Ever After,

Ever since I saw first saw you on Goodreads a few months ago, I knew that you were going to be something special. You sounded like the most adorably bookish book to ever grace the bookosphere and when I managed to get my hands on an early copy of you my week was made! Here are three things that I loved and adored about you so much that I want to shout (because I can't all. Please don't ask) my praises from the tops of buildings!

3 Things I Loved About You

1. Your bookishness! My tippity-toppity favourite thing about you was your bookishness, from the fact Phoebe was such a bookworm (praise the book gods!), to all the bookish things you were full of! I loved how you knew exactly what a bookworm wanted from a bookish book and that every bookish aspect of you was perfectly and wonderfully bookish (if that makes sense)!

2. Phoebe! Oh how I loved Phoebe! WHAT A FANGIRL! It was utter bliss reading from Phoebe's POV because it was like chatting to a friend because we had so much in common! Phoebe stays up till 4AM in the morning to finish a book, I stay up till 4AM in the morning to finish a book! Phoebe fangirls over her favourite books all the time, I fangirl about my favourite books all the time! Phoebe spends all her money at the book store, I spend all my money at the book store! Phoebe would rather read a book then socialize, I would rather read a book then socialize! THE LIST GOES ON AND IT'S FRABJOUSLY FANTASTIC. *flails*

3. The romance!
“I'm supposed to push a loose strand of hair out of your face, then let my hand linger on your cheek, or isn't that how, like, every other kissing scene in those books you read goes?" He gently tucked that piece of hair behind my ear and let his fingers slide down to tilt my chin up until my eyes met his. "Well?”

EXCISE ME WHILE I SQUEAL AT A REALLY HIGH PITCH BECAUSE THE ROMANCE WAS THE ONE OF THE MOST ADORABLE ROMANCES I'VE EVER READ. *takes breath* My favourite thing about Dev the love interest was that he never put down Phoebe for liking books or fangirling them or dressing up as her favourite characters! And he also asked Phoebe for book recommendations and went and bought books to read so he could talk to her about them! SO CUTE OMG.

So THANK YOU, Bookishly Ever After fore being such an awesome book!

Ella, Who Would Really Really Like a Sequel Now Please and Thank You.
