Fangirl Friday: Rose Petal Graves Cover Reveal + Shadowhunters S2E2 Review

You should pray for us (Sophia and I) because we are currently trapped inside our homes because of the winter storm Jupiter. Sophia will have a hard time going to work while I'm calling off work because there is no way I will drive to work in freezing rain/sleet. Been there, done that and had an accident. I'm not doing that again.

YAY FOR A COVER REVEAL!

Rose Petal Graves
By: Olivia Wildenstein
Genre: Paranormal/Faeries
Release Date: March 29th 2017
Links: Goodreads
Synopsis: ANCIENT SECRETS CANNOT REMAIN BURIED FOREVER.
Founded two centuries ago by a powerful tribe of Gottwa Indians, Rowan was a quiet town, so quiet that I fled after graduation. Staying away was the plan, but Mom died suddenly.
Dad said she suffered a stroke after she dug up one of the ancient graves in our backyard, which happens to be the town cemetery. Creepy, I know. Creepier still, there was no corpse inside the old coffin, only fresh rose petals.
As we made preparations for Mom’s burial, new people began arriving in Rowan, unnervingly handsome and odd people. I begged them to leave, but they stayed, because their enemies—my ancestors—were beginning to awaken.

About The Author
Olivia Wildenstein grew up in New York City, the daughter of a French father with a great sense of humor, and a Swedish mother whom she speaks to at least three times a day. She chose Brown University to complete her undergraduate studies and earned a bachelor’s in comparative literature. After designing jewelry for a few years, Wildenstein traded in her tools for a laptop computer and a very comfortable chair. This line of work made more sense, considering her college degree.
When she’s not writing, she’s psychoanalyzing everyone she meets (Yes. Everyone), eavesdropping on conversations to gather material for her next book, baking up a storm (that she actually eats), going to the gym (because she eats), and attempting not to be late at her children’s school (like she is 4 out of 5 mornings, on good weeks).
Wildenstein lives with her husband and three children in Geneva, Switzerland, where she’s an active member of the writing community.

Shadowhunters S2E2 A Door Into The Dark: Spoiler Free Review

This is a continuation from the last episode where Jace is kidnapped and everyone is trying to find him. This episode was filled with revelations and just about made me dislike Clary's mother and Alec. Alec is stubborn as always. They both got on my nerves this entire episode. This episode made me also realize that I love Izzy. She truly is an amazing person trying to make Clary feel better throughout this episode and she is truly a good friend. Clary also went through some obstacle about how she never wanted this life and just wants a normal life. Simon and Magnus are funny as per usual. Valentine is just mean as you can imagine. The scenes are beginning to be more gory and it truly made this whole episode have this creepy vibe. New things have been exposed and introduced in this episode and I can't say much or else I might spoil something. The ending was MARVELOUS. So I highly suggest you watch this! Shadowhunters airs on Mondays on Freeform 8/7c.
