February 2018 YA Releases Sophia Is Beyond Excited For (Introducing Fangirl Mode)

One month down, 11 more to go until 2019! Also the year I'm probably going to graduate because I've taken at least three semesters of 18 credits. I must be insane.

February 2018 is the month for YA this year because there are amazing releases that I am beyond excited for and will be promptly shoving at all of the book nerds because they sound amazing. Also the very fact the book sounds amazing is why you should drop everything and get the book when it comes out or pre-order it now.

the belles book cover

The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton (Feb. 6)

I won an ARC copy of this from Writer's Block Party sometime late last year, but have not gotten a chance to read it due to real life commitments. I'm an absolute mess since 2016. Did I send this review link to the publicist yet? I think I did? That's the question I ask myself with every review copy ever.

american panda cover

American Panda by Gloria Chao (Feb. 6)

American Panda spells cuteness all over the book - also is that a doodle of a dumpling?! 😍😍😍

I'm pretty sure I can convince Lupe to read this because the title has the word "panda," and Lupe likes pandas. I'm a wonderful influence, I know. 😏

pretty must die cover

#Prettyboy Must Die by Kimberly Reid (Feb. 13)

I'll confess... #Prettyboy Must Die caught me from the title because of the word "die." Also, who will die? And is he actually going to be pretty and precious and smol so my heart will break?

ink iron and glass cover

Ink, Iron, and Glass by Gwendolyn Clare (Feb. 20)

I would like to take a brief moment to thank the person who kept the Oxford Comma in here because while AP style tells me to murder the precious comma, I have to keep it! Ha! Learning that AP Style was taking away my beloved Oxford Comma was the saddest day of my writing life.

In other words, the whole turning written worlds into reality sound really cool to read about, and while I might be confused on the science parts, I might actually enjoy it. Imagine if The Hunger Games turned into reality?!

a girl like that cover

A Girl Like That by Tanaz Bhathena (Feb. 27)

Reading the synopsis gave me chills, so I don't know how I'll feel reading A Girl Like That. But... I'm willing to give it a try. Will this book finally make me cry?! This sounds like the one.

Let's Talk: Are any of the books listed on your TBR pile? Any that aren't listed and are publishing in February?
